Sadly I got 2 DOAs however my 2 gobies I where hoping would pair. DIDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!

Else they're suppose to flat out kill one another. But I had alot of extra tanks if that happened. Within 5 minutes they're within 1/8" form each other.

Yes of course they wanna know when dinner is.

I put a note on my online order asking for possible pairs. Not sure how close the notes are followed but I got a pair!!!

MimicTang,

Thank you for your post. We’re happy to hear that your Gobies have paired. We always check customer notes and send them, when applicable, to our holding facility. We cannot always guarantee that we will be able to follow your request, but we will attempt to honor them to the best of our ability depending on our current stock. If you have not already done so, please contact our LiveAquaria department at 1-800-334-3699 regarding the deaths on your order.

Someone on this site suggested I start my 24 Aquapod (when it's ready) with 2-3 neon gobies. The signature of this person showed many years of experience.
Now I'm starting to hear not to put more than one in unless they're a pair. What is your opinion?

slam308,

Thank you for your post. We would agree that having only one Goby is a good recommendation unless you have a mated pair, as Gobies can be quite territorial. This is not to say that multiple gobies have not been kept in the same tank without incident, however, territorial aggression is always a consideration when stocking your aquarium. For a 24-gallon Aquapod, we would recommend only one Goby due to the size requirements.

If they dont I can give you a site that does. I got 2 neons today too. Hoping they pair as well. Many gobies are born male/female unlike clowns which can change sexes. In a 24 you should be find, I dont believe neons are aggressive toward conspecifics.
