I was expecting a hatch of clowns on Friday night. I moved the pot to the fry tank and as expected they hatched as planned. this is my second batch. the first didn't survive the night. I was so excited that they were all alive that I took the pot out, got the rotifers strained, and fed fry and watched for about 30-45 minutes. I then picked the pot off of the floor and noticed that there were still about 20 eggs in the pot. I made a big mistake for not checking the pot. Anyway they were still stuck to the pot so I figured I would take a chance, so I put it back with the mama and set up another 10 gal tank. I put the pot in and low and behold all the remaining fry hatched last night. After 40 minutes out of the water, they still survived. Don't know if lack of O2 will effect them but I will try to raise them and see what happens.

Long as the eggs don't dry out, they are fine out of water. In fact, the best way to transport eggs is damp, not submerged in water.
