Awful fish

Ok. so the bigger the tang, the more brazen they can be. I cannot get a sheet of Nori in the clip without those two taking it from me! and they would not bring it back so I could grab it. Good grief! anyone else have fish that will eat out of their hands?

When I had my 3 large Tangs,Vlamigi,Red sea Sailfin Tang, Blue Hippo They were much easier to feed by hand and would take turns getting some. They knew they all were gonna get some, Fun fish that is one thing I miss about a big tank.

yea man. they pull hard on that sheet. I roll it up like a dubie and then put it in the clip. for the little ones, that usually keeps them busy for a while. these, the naso about sucked the whole thing down (usually quarter the sheet up)! I may have to do it by hand to make sure they both get their fair share.

I did have an eel once that was hand fed. used to bite my thumb all the time when he ate. didnt hurt at all but was funny. I worry about one of these two possibly whipping me with a tail.

I never had them be agressive towards me when feeding, You may need some time for them to get used to you as the feeder. Then they will greet you knowing you will be hand feeding them. JMO

Bill, they already do. just like the Powder brown used to. Heaven forbid I open the lid and dont put something in there. im impressed at the personality of the two. both are NOT shy about taking the seaweed right from me. the Sohal is more gentle, the Naso will rip it out of my hand. IM in Heaven!

My tangs eats off my hands too....The ones I'm afraid of are my 2 Foxface with the spines on top of them, it creeps me out when they raise them during feeding time.... So throw the algae sheet on the surface now without putting my hands anywhere near by.....My fingers are still swollen after my major cleanup from taking out rocks to clean them. I got stabbed by sharp objects on the rocks. I hope it's nothing serious cause it would be a week tomorrow....

When you put your hands in the tank the sohal will try to eat your fingers, sounds like you are enjoying the tangs

yea man. awesome fish. I wasnt going to stock big fish in my plan, but I could not pass these guys up. glad I got them. we are having a hoot with them. thanks man. wish I would have had more cashola to spend on your goodies.
