what do you mean firefish had babies?
they lay eggs and the fry hatch a week or so later. So do you see little swimmy things? most likely its mysid shrimp or some sort of swimming pod.
can you explain a little more

Most fish larvae hatch at night. I'm surprices your filters didn't get to the baby fish. Your most likely out of luck with trying to raise them because it doesn't sound like you have any live cultures of rotifers or copepods to feed the young and they need lots of it. If they are like most fish they will prob lay more eggs real soon. If I were you I'd get some cultures going. Most baby fish larvae are attracted to light so if you know what day the eggs will hatch you can put a flashlight up to the tank at night and collect the larvae. Good luck.

Sarcastic jokes like that one are a great way to get banned. They wouldn't be tolerated towards a regular member, and they wont be tolerated towards our moderators either.

LFduty- I have no personal issue w/ your spelling, heck I make lots of spelling errors myself due to my fast typing. However this text messaging lingo is very difficult to decipher. We have a number of non english as a native language speakers on these boards, and they have difficulty enough reading correct english never-mind them struggling thru phonetic versions of words.
I'm not going to tell you not to do it, just be aware that many people won't respond because 1) they cant read & understand it, and 2) it hard to take someone seriously, if they think your post is "not well thought out". If I didn't think you were trying to be serious about communicating your thoughts & ideas w/ me effectively, why should i spend time trying to address your question.
Thats all I ask

I agree 100% with Frank here,being myself one of those "non english as a first language" members.
So please excuse my question,but you write like this on purpose,like coining a funny language,or you have problems with English spelling?.
If this last is the case,there´s a "Spell Check"box at the bottom of your reply messages box where you can check and correct all your spelling errors.

Ok, We all know this man spells poorly. As Frank says, most of us have a less than desirable command of english.
But, he seems honest in his request. He also seems to know what he is talking about.
Unless someone sees some sort of spoof, I would hope that the potential for firefish breeding in a tank is exciting to someone. I was interested in the advice he would receive.
Doubtful that a novice in fish rearing would be able to get far with Firefish but worth a try. He is obviously doing something right if Firefish are spawning in his tank. Maybe we want to know what that is???

I want to put in clear that by no means it is my intention to criticize lfduty because of his weird,rather than poor spelling.I wanted to be sure he is not deliberately using some unknown to me phonetic spelling,as Frank said.Not meaning to be sarcastic,I really don´t know.But if he really has spelling problems I told him about the Spell Check box which is a magic tool to solve all our spelling problems.

(FEED)Frozen Mysis & live mysis shrimp and rotifers. Shrimp feed garlic and Omega one fish oil. And Formula ONE (S) marine pellet's maed in to powder.
(PARAMETERS)1.022. Temp 75 at night 77in day.
(SUBSTRATE) 11/2" live sand with pods all in the sand.
(LIGHT CYCLE) 6:00am to 9:00pm with 1hr with dark till moon lights come on 10:00pm to 5:00am then 1hr dark till T-5s come on.
Then all starts over. That's all I do ther is NO other fish in the tank.
