Babies Born

Amen to that.... And you could use some seaweed for a salid and maybe make some soup with sea urchin roe. Yumm!!! :D

I've had Seaweed Salad and Urchin Roe. They aren't that bad. But I'm sure Phytoplankton would be a little salty. And Mysid Spaghetti?! That has to be the worst of it all!

Herpchat, to make a long story really short:

- 2litter bottle at 1.020 s.g.
- Add an air pump (no airstones, I use silicone tubing with 1/4
hard tubing so it reaches bottom of bottle)
- You want no contaminations so an air filter is prefered on the
pump, and small piece of cotton (I use rite size filter, cut really
small) with the airline stuck through it to block the bottle
opening.
- add light, (cheap clamp light from homedepot is fine, I use a
6500k light on mine, also from HD)
- Add phyto and wait about 10 days.

shake bottle up every few days to dislodge any settling particles.
And split culture after 10 days, or when it stops getting any greener (or browner depending on the cultured species)

It really is quit simple.

My little babies got their first squirt of baby brine shrimp last night. I'd never seen fishies so hungry, I felt horrable that I didn't have any hatched in advance, and I know better too. But 24 hours down and i still have the original dozen and their eating. Off to a good start.

You have me all excited....

Oh I know, I know. I was hoping to get them posted last night but my mother forgot about me and left me standing at her door, nobody home. I'll try again tonight though. (fingers crossed)
