babies on the way

I was feeding the fish tonight and notice my female watchmen goby was not hanging out with my male, then she came out and started eating about 1 min after I was spot feeding so I looked inside then den and found some eggs hanging from the ceiling of the burrow. I tried to get a good pic but it's hard to see I circled them. I have only had the female for 2 months at most. I Don't have the time or knowledge to try and raise them. So I will just let them do there thing. I love seeing things like this in the home aquarium.

Well I went on vacation for 10 days so I just let them loose to fend for themselves. As expected there don't seem to be any survivors. On the brighter side the male has eggs again and I don't have any vacations planned!

Give a shout out if that situation ever happens again. I almost always have a cycled 10g. available for baby sitting.

That's super cool congrats =) . Have you read that thread online about the breeding and raising of the watchman goby's? Not sure if it was on rc or another forum.. It's a good read if you haven't seen it yet . Looks like a lot of work though but at least it's free fresh food for the reef.

Are they more aggressive with the eggs around? I have major issues when my clowns spawn. And that's every month or so lol.. I've recently noticed my chromis are doing the spawn dance and the female has a place on the rocks that looks like she is scouting and doing mock egg runs on it.. Hopefully I can get them on video like all the times I have my clowns.

Yes I read it. To much work for me right now they don't seem more aggressive to me, but I don't stick my hands in the tank that often
