Baby Brine Shrimp?

I haven't made BBS in probably 10 months or so and I decided to make some to feed my tank. My container of eggs have been in the freezer for that long. It time to harvest the batch I made and it has a pungent odor. I dont recall them smelling at all when I first started making them. Does anyone know if the smell is normal or do you think my eggs are bad?

If it was a frost free freezer then that's the best place to store them. Did they hatch?

I think they hatched, but it wasn't the dirty orange color like I remember them being. The water was a brown color so I pitched this batch. I bleached all my equipment and I'm going to make another batch tomorrow.
