I have the same thing happen last night and believe they were cleaner shrimp also. The cleaner was really full of eggs yesterday, later at night I saw hundreds of tiny shrimp swimming around, the fish were going crazy. Today the shrimp no longer is carrying the eggs. Possibly great food for the system, I doubt any of them would mature.

Yeah my cleaners hatch babies every couple of months. It is a great food source. The fish love them. None ever survive though.

I have also had cleaner shrimp (and peppermint) release spawn in my tank, and when I look into my tank with dim light I can see many babies of various ages scurrying arourn the rock-nook-and-crannies...in fact, when I am in the market to purchase new shrimp,I alway's look for one's loaded with egg's!
