baby MALE Bluethroat

whoever says you cant find small bluethroat males and females is wrong...i bought this little guy today, he is MAYBE 2.5" long and definitely a male

I've seen them pretty small. Not terribly uncommon. Very nice fish! Don't you have that other trigger in there...goldback or something? Are they OK together?

goldenback jumped the tank with it covered and weighted down, i tore down my 125 and he is temporary in a 30B until i get my AO 180 made

Hawaiian bluethroats that small are very hard to come by. You can get them out of Bali and indo much more often. I love little bluethroats!

try to find a 3" male crosshatch lol that will never happen!

What do you feed him? bluethroat is very shy when newly acquired.

I've seen tiny males in the wild before. They're not common, but they're definitely out there. They usually only show up in the fall, when juvenile bluethroats start dropping out of the plankton. Now is about the right time.

I did catch a 4" male crosshatch once, but those are really, really rare.

i actually had a chance to get a pair of crosshatch triggers that were 4" in side but it was either a hoax or the guy really did sell them to someone else and never got back in contact with me

i do REALLY REALLY want a pair of crosshatch triggers though for my next tank

There is a pair of blue throat triggers on the big auction site now. The description says 3". They are very reasonably priced.
They also have crosshatch pretty frequently. Never bought from them so don't know how good they are to deal with. Just FYI.
