Baby Scoly and some other LPS eye candy

I have several damaged scolys that Ive been nursing back to health over the past couple months. Today I noticed this! Looks like I have one more scoly now!

I got this one about 6 weeks ago. When I got it it only had tissue on half the skeleton. The tissue had receded right up to within several mm of the mouth, I was afraid I would lose this one for the first month. Should be a real stunner once its fully recovered.

This guys new today, we'll see how it does. Should come back nicely.

Very nice Scoly's. Have you brought a lot of them back? what is the trick? My LFS gave me one today. It looks pretty bad. I placed it in a shaded area with low flow? Any other advice?

I've been getting them from a couple of LFS owners I'm friendly with.

I dont have much experience with scolys specifically but I've been doing this with Acans for a while now, Ill have to post some pics of them as I have a few Im working to bring back also.

Mine are in low flow but get plenty of light. As with anything frequent feedings seem to help. I feed them all daily this is how;

I have a few plastic water bottles I've cut in half and I keep and use the top end you would drink out of. I place the water bottle top over the scoly so none of my shrimp can get to them and I target feed fauna marin LPS food to each. Within 10 minutes the LPS food gets the scolys to open up and extend their tentacles. Once they have opened up and extended their tentacles I baste a mix of mysis and cyclopeeze down onto them through the hole in the top of the water bottle. I let them do their thing and remove the bottle halves about an hour later.

The fauna marin food has been great! I feel thats the only reason the scoly in the second pic survived. I couldnt get it to accept any kind of food when I first got it until I used that.
