Baby Snails?

Hi...

I would like to know if anyone knows if snails reproduce in tanks?

I have about 6 little critters (they are super tiny) that look like snails. They have the flat bottom and walk slowly and they have tentacles. They even have tiny little shells!!! I have about 4 snails in my tank now (had another one but it disappeared...saw its shell with one of my blue leg hermit crabs so I am guessing he has passed on)

Please help! I am scared they might be something else that I dont know of and could be bad to the tank.

Some snails will reproduce in captivity, ceriths, stomatella, and nassarius come to mind.

They might be baby snails or fully grown adults of a small species. Can you get a picture? The hermit crabs will likely kill and eat them if they can catch them.

yes! it looks something like that but mine are smaller. I tried taking a picture but they are so tiny that they don't come out

thanks a bunch!!! i freaked out for a moment I thought they were bad!

Cool this is my first growth (besides algae) in my little 24 gallon! I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have all been there, it is very cool when this happens.
if you get a decent magnifying glass, you can see they are a perfectly formed copy of an adult, very cool.

I have a ton of these little snails also, I think the largest one I've ever seen in my tank was about the size of a eraser on a pencil. The breed like crazy in my tank. I have them as Collonista snails.

They are growing them.

I have these snails in my tank. They are breeding like crazy and I want to get rid of them. My tank is only 4 months old and they are all over the place.
