baby snails???

This morning I noticed a bunch of little white things on 2 of my snails. A couple of them were "crawling" on the glass. Oneo f them fell off and floated for a bit. Did my snails have babies and if so are they gonna live w/ the other things in there? 2 percula clowns, yellow tang, a scooter blenny, several crabs and a couple of shrimp.

They might be baby snails, or fully grown snails. I suspect they're fully grown. If they are algae-eaters, they'll probably do well. I have similar snails in some of my tanks.

if they were on the snails, they were probably pyramid snails. they are parisite snails, and should be removed. heres some great pics of them.

You mean "Collonista".

I agree that being present on other snails often indicates parasitism.

that is what they looked like i think. they looked softer than that though. there is a BUNCH of them. can i jsut grab them to get them out?

I'd grab any that were on larger snails. That should work.

i had some before, not many though. i would check my snails and manually remove any that were present. at first i though they were baby ceriths, but after lots of reading i found they were pyramids.

I made the exact same mistake. Then I realized that I only saw them on astrea snails and started getting suspicious.

All true, but they MAY very well be baby snails and not pyramid snails. Post some pics from different angles and of the mouth to get an ID to know for sure.
