back pressure on pump?

I have asked a branch of this question without much response, so I will try it a different way.

I am going to be pumping water from outside my house to my fish tanks inside approximately 50 feet, but no more than 50'.
I bought a Mag 18, what size hosing should I use that won't put much back pressure on the pump? I was reccommended by the manufacturer representenative to use 1 1/2" - 2" hosing. then I talked to another knowledgable friend who said 3/4" or 1" will be just fine. The output on the pump is 3/4"

Input is appreciated.

"assuming a 5 ft head to start I get 120 GPH or 20 GPM (minute)"

with what pump?

thanks for the info. I think I'm goin to go with 1 1/4" hose.

mag 18 with 5 ft head = 1200GPH divided by 60 = 20 GPM as a starting point

zero head would be unrealistic so I just picked a number to get a reference point for the rest of the calculation
