Back to Back Nano Cubes?

Ok...so I started my new 28G...I have an opportunity to get another 28G CF at a ridiculously low price...and I was thinking of keeping them back to back...when the CF model becomes the fuge for the main tank.

I would have the pumps from one run to the other, and vice versa...or at least one on each side run to the other.

Thoughts?

This will not work. Pump rates are different. Even with a very small difference, this will mean that one tank will overflow.
Why not drill the backs and plumb them together? This way you would only need 1 pump.
Pump water into one tank, it would return into the other.

On the contrary, this does work. I have a 12g DT plumbed adjacent to a 20g fuge. I used ball valves to control the flow of each - overflow and return.
