Well been a few years but I'm back :) for nearly 20 years had tanks of 1 form or another and then I moved here from Denver and had to sell all my stuff :( hadn't given it alotta thought over the last couple years till I stopped into a LFS (the fish place) and immediately my heart started racing and I had to have a tank again :) so I got a nice 150 gallon Tall (48x24x36) and been hanging out at this beautiful place reef creation.. well Big tank needs to stock:fish2:, Looking for frags of anything.. Ive got nice 20k 400watt MH and 2 T-5's so I can grow :) 30 gallon refugium reef octopus skimmer.. Its ready :)

Any one locally looking to drop some frags would be a big help can trade ( have tons of computer parts?) or cash up? msg me

For sure.. I would really appreciate it... Is there a regular frag meet here or anything?? I am so siked to have a tank up and running again.. I got my daughter a lil 10 gallon tank with fresh water and its just so ehhhhh.. Ive been in front of this tank daily for hours for a week just scoping my live rock.. PIcked up a couple small pcs. earlier today but this tank is huge.. It is close to my 350 being so tall there are endless possibilities.... just say when and where :)

Glad to have you back in the hobby!

There is usually a frag swap in the fall, but I haven't heard of anything yet. I'll shoot you a PM with some of the frags that I have available.

Killer! cant wait.... Only thing thast sux is I have been fighting to get outta bed cuz Im going to sleep at 2am every night and have to be up by 6 :p So I'll look forward to the list in the morning :) thank you I'm glad to be back too:celeb2:

Hello and welcome back to the hobby. Sounds like you have the bug!

I have lots of available sps, mostly highend stuff. Also some zoos/palys. Sent me an PM if your interested.

The tall tank is nice. Mine is 36" tall as well. Quite a range of lighting conditions from top to bottom. ABC Pets in Fairport made me a "tower" using dry rock and epoxy that is 35" tall with several ledges. Makes full use of the height. Welcome back.

Thanks guys.. glad to be back...Deffinatly got the BUG!!! Got another 50 lbs of base in today and stopped over at cardiffgiant's house to check out and grab some frags..Was really sweet thanks Ben the Frags look great and have all opened up already.. I'm so psyched to be up and running this well this soon.. Lotsa live rock and sand always helps :) i cant wait for the frag meet and hopefully get to meet all of you personally :) gonna meet with air fx Friday, and hopefully many more soon :)

The 36" depth is a huge plus I am just free forming my base, ive got well over 100 lbs in it now and it still looks empty :) got another 75lbs of live supposed to be coming from "just live rock.com" but starting to worry? called yesterday and said was gonna go out and harvest some new rock??? does that mean I'm gonna get uncured live rock straight outta the ocean?? that would not be good :( Hope I'm wrong but sounded strange and wanted to refund my money and have me pay via PayPal again?? still aint got the refund really weird
In any case I'm just happy to be building again and look forward to a long fruitful yield..
Thanks again for the warm welcome

Vic, it was great to meet you! I'm looking forward to following you tanks progress. I can't wait to see how your 150 fills out (as well as your future plans for that 350 :eek1:)

Ill get some pics up soon.. Just got a new rose anemone from ARC looks phenom!! My wifes trying to talk me into doing a fish only in the 350 cause she likes puffers???? Im baffled by the shear thought of using something of that size and not having any coral in it! lotta good deals on craigslist list might get her a lil 75 for fish only and put in in my room ...

vic ....i have a real nice 56 gal tall tank you can have for $50 it's not drilled but it's easy to do! anyways just some food for thought. the tank is as deep as it is wide and a tall tank.

Iwas prolly lookin for something longer than tall, this new 150 is a tall and man its a pain in the @ss to set up36" below :(...Once its done it will be awesome ..but whom i foolin, I know it will never be "done" :D
See ya tonight..

Yo air-Fx the tank looks great with the addition of the specimens from your tank.. It is really starting to take shape... Talked to the wife and the 125 is a go as well as the 56 :) Ill give you a buzz most likely early week to make arrangements... Thank you again for the great coral :) This is truly a great reef community, I feel fortunate to be part of such an incredible family ;)

I want to build 2 corner columns in the left and right corners and have a large center piece in the middle... Fantasizing my tank should have been done before it started lol :) unfortunately I didn't think of it till it was up and running :( can still be done when I get my 350 back on line....

hey can anyone give me some suggestions on setting up my 150 with a vortech mp40w??
Just got it in the tank last night and not seeing any massive improvement on my movement.. I've toyed w/ it for a few hours placed it in different spaces.. just dont seem to be getting the natural wave i see in the lfs or on youtube... Im sure the pump can do it just maybe i'm missing something? The tank is 48" long 36" high and 24" deep... Ive moved my sump return to dead middle from the right the drain is on the left, i put the mp40 about 4" down on the left middle and a return pump on the bottom left 3" above the sand under the overflow?? i have it set to pulse every 2 seconds from full to minimum.. i need some help :(

hey, just moved back from Colorado myself. I was stationed at Fort Carson. I was a member of SCMAS and went to a few DARC events as well. I dont have a tank right now because Im saving to build a house but once the house is built, its on! Glad to see another person got out of the hell hole that is Colorado!
