Background or No Background

While trying to setup my sump I ripped the background off of the tank. With it's location there is no way one person can put it back on. I'm not really that concerned because I like the look more. My questions is this, does it make a difference to the fish or inverts? I've heard that it can make the fish nervous or some such thing.

I painted mine in a blue rustoleum paint. If you can get a small paint roller the little roller back their roll the whole thing. It doesnt peel or crack and looks great. No water stains. Look at the pics in my web address by clicking on my red house...

as far as the fish, there are three other sides that are exposed, why would having the forth side covered make a difference? I painted mine black just for the look though.

it sounds like its an established tank...Im sure coraline and other bs is staking ground on the back surface anyways and will eventually cover it, not to mention that your LR is probably blocking most of it anyways

in your case it shoudl be fine...if it was a new tank Id obviously recommend the paintjob, but your post sounds like its already against the wall with water in it
