bacteria to control cyano?

Also if you people are dosing vodka in your tanks you should be dosing sometype of bacteria with it or use vinegar with the vodka in a 8:1 ratio vinegar to vodka.

I dosed vodka with vinegar and still have a lot of cyno,

as of two days ago I stopped the carbon dosing

By "Vodka" I meant a vodka-vinegar-dextrose mix. I left the LEDs on so I could see the fish.

I am on day three and what was a tank completely covered Cyno is now a tank with a few light patches on the sand bed.

Unfortunately, the Ick problem I was dealing with, which was only a minor nuisance, used the three dark days as an opportunity to maul my Hippo and Yellow tangs...

anyone use Purigen to control Cyano? Since it absorbs organics I thought it might help
