Bacterial Bloom at night?

Every morning my tank is super cloudy. Clears up by end of the day. I suspect something is happening at night causing bacterial to bloom. It's a nano running live rock, carbon, filter sock, and zeolite media, no skimmer.

Anyone ever experience something like this?

Good tip. I only have one snail and one clownfish in here. Anything else I have may have come on the LR but I have not seen anything. The tank did finish its cycle last week. Right now the water is crystal clear. Could it be light related?

I don't think it would have anything to do with the lights your best bet is to watch your tank after lights out. Have you tested your water?

Do you have fans or wave makers in your tank and if so are they pointing down that maybe at night time it's picking up your sand and making the water cloudy

Yes, nutrients are low. Nitrate 2, nitrite 0, phosphate 0.

I have an MP10 on Tidal mode. It does not change at night vs. during the day.

Well I do dose ZEOstart once per day. I didn't dose it today, let's see if it's a change. Tank has been dark for an hour, no cloudy water as of yet but I'm going to bed. Will report back in the AM.

really doesn't seem likely to get a nightly spawn in a new nano tank with minimal livestock. As noted it probably is related to the zeostart resulting in a bacterial bloom. I had the same thing with a 180 gallon when I used daily Microbacter7, so much so that is severely fouled the filter socks and plastic foam

Yeah I think so, and since I'm not using a skimmer the bacteria does not get removed as fast. I'm going to clean the filter sock today. It's cloudy this morning. Going to do some NO3 and PO4 tests to be safe but I think it will be OK. I'm keeping the livestock minimal in this tank. I'll probably add one nassarius snail and a anemone crab after I get the anemone for this tank.

I'm thinking that it's due to the zeostart as well. As I recall, you're not running a refugium on this tank, and you don't have any in-tank macroalgaes either, which is the other thing that I've seen cause nightly cloudiness.
