So my stock pump for my 24g nano just died all of the sudden yesterday. Really making me angry, I went to the local fish store and all they had was a micro jet so I've got that circulating the water, but it hardly does enough. One of my clowns does not look so happy. I've got a mini-jet 606 on the way until my Maxi-jet 1200 comes hopefully by friday. Is there anything else I can do in my current situation to ensure my tanks integrity until the maxi-jet 1200 comes? Please help me!

Sorry to hear about your pump. I don't have any suggestions but just wanted to shout out to a fellow Charlestonian. PM me and we'll have to meet up sometime. The LFS around here are pretty lacking on the equipment end of things so it sounds like you might have to wait until things come in from online.

Sorry to hear about that, Im in upsate but I would think there are more LFS down there or atleast a big box store that might have some something. I have to drive an hour to a LFS so I back ups of everything. Until the pump arrives I guess you can do small water changes to atleast. You can also stir the water every so often. You might want to invest in some battery powered airpumps in the future.

Divecj5: GIS- Geographic Information Systems right? Im getting tossed into ArcGIS9 later this week.

If you've got old power or canister filters, you can always hook one of those up to add water movement. Also, an air pump would help increase water flow as well, although the salt creep would be a pain to maintain.

Just one of those bait-bucket aerators you use in a power outage, if you've got a Walmart or fishing store. Fish can thrive in dirt: being short of oxygen is a far more important problem.
