Bad SLS BW7 Ballast

Well just ordered a new SLS Blue Wave 7 dual 250w HQI ballast and 2 new 250w 20k Radiums, plugged it in, and only 1 bulb fires, switched it around, still only 1 bulb fires.

First I thought I had a bad bulb so I had PA overnight me a new one, and WHAM, still doesn't fire. So I'm stuck all weekend with a tank full of SPS and no way to light it!!

Hopefully I can have a new ballast overnighted to me Monday AM!!! Sucks that PA is closed on the weekends!

Get this, I just tried turning it on again to see which port doesnt fire, figured it out, flipped it off and then back on real quick and the other port decided to fire! Sounds like a short or something funky.

Any clues?

Try putting this on another outlet and see if the same problem persists. Let us know and we'll get it straightened out for you.

Also, keep in mind that if you get one side to fire you can always rotate that over the tank for the weekend. It is tedious, but it does work. We would not be able to ship until Mondy anyways as the carriers do not do any pickups or accept packages on the weekends.

I tried 3 different outlets with the same result. Sometimes if you flip it on, then off then back on real fast it'll fire the bulb, sometimes that doesn't work.

I will just rotate the bulbs all weekend. I will give you guys a call on Monday so we can get it straightened out. I really appreciate your guys help and willingness to work with me. Thats why I'll keep coming back, not many companies out there would do that.
