Baffle issues

I am trying to remove a baffle in my refugium but can't get it to come out. I have tried removing all the silicone with a razor but it won't budge. If I drained out the water would I be able to burn the silicone off with a lighter? Please let me know if this sounds crazy/stupid and if you have any other ideas. Thanks.

no dont burn it. keep cutting it takes time and a lot of cutting. Heat and glass do not mix well unless you know what your doing.

What happens to the glass if I burnt off the silicone? The baffles were cut to fit very tight and the razor won't fit between the glass baffle and tank. I'm afraid that if I keep trying to force the razor in I'm going to crack the tank.

Good idea, I'll try to get my hands on some. Do you think it will be able to get in between the glass even though a razor cannot?

If all else fails you couldn't you try actually breaking the glass baffle (carefully of course)? Or even get a glass cutter and score aware the pieces?

Since they are seperate pieces from the tank shouldn't the baffle in theory break and not the tank, if done carefully? You can then chip away the remaining pieces and use some wet sandpaper to smooth out and polish the tank.

Or is that just crazy??
