Bak Pak skimmer

I have a bak pak skimmer with a rio 600 on it and i was wondering how to switch it to a maxi jet.

Or do what I did. Take the pump to a home depot and figure what size is needed over the input of the pump and what size is needed for that piece to connect to the strainer. Then I drilled a hole in the tubing and plugged a smaller airline. It was less then a dollar to make that thing work.

I haven't run MJ's on my Bak-Pak, but I have run a Rio 800 in the past & currently run the 600 with some mesh on the wheel. Skims my little 20g just fine. GL
