Baking soda ?

So I took baking soda put it on the cookie sheet cooked for 2 hrs by mistake at 350F.
Every 3 days I add half a tea spoon into rodi then put I'm the sump. I've noticed everytime I do this my sps will bleach then like week later it will slowly get it's color back.

Should I use something else for alk ? I just tested alk is 8.7 not much of a swing at all from 8.5.

FYI, you don't need to bake it. I have always used it without baking. Top off with kalk wasser and dose baking soda when needed. Baking is to raise the ph but the kalk wasser will do that for you.

When you bake it you end up with soda ash. It becomes more potent and gives a ph and alk spike. Try dripping it instead of one huge dose

add at a slow drip throughout the day as opposed to all at once and you should get a more stable value.
