Ball Valve to Media Reactor

So I am thinking of running a carbon and gfo reactor. I installed a ball valve on my return for this purpose. What is the part that will go from the open ball valve (which is a slip valve not threaded) to a reactor line?

I was thinking of running a reactor such as this one for the carbon and gfo... I just didn't want to have to add another pump into my sump

Well... first.. what size tube is on your reactor?
I'd bet its intended to be a barb fitting and not a john guest... (if so slip to thread to male thread/barb fitting)
But a guest can work just fine too with the proper size/material tube..

its going to be one of those push in lines like the RODI's.

exact ones shown in the BRS pic.

ok then tisbe has you set.. .. slip to female thread adapter.. then that john guest fitting..

Question for learning purposes, do most of y'all run a split off the return line for media reactors? Are there other recommended options?

Thanks

I don't. I run media reactors, etc. off separate pumps. I like keeping the return plumbing by itself and if you need to change/tweak something later, your main plumbing is out of the mix.
