I am thinking about putting all my electronics in a computer case next to my tank. Can I put an enclosed 250w ballast(Hamilton) inside the computer case? Do I need to have a fan blowing air on it?
The ballast has 3 vents on the right and left side and these would be mostly obstructed if I placed the ballast in the bottom of the case so that the bottom of the ballast is down. This would also require that I create a hole in the side of the case so that the cord going to the light could plug in.
I could set the ballast so that the front is face down and this would allow both the side vents to be completely unobstructed AND I would not have to create a hole in the side of the case. Would this be ok? Please let it be ok.
