Ballast not igniting bulbs

Recently I had a mag 9.5 blow up in my sump and since then my ice cap 250w ballasts will not ignite bulbs. I have emailed them for repair of my new style ballast but my old style is out of warranty I am pretty sure. Does anyone know any way to repair these? Thanks.

They should repair the old one's. I think its around 60bux to. You can buy a new vertex for around 80-90bux at the moment.

You should check with Ice Cap in their forum. Being that you are in Baltimore, if you had to return the ballast for repair, they are only a day away from you by UPS ground.

When you say "blow up" do you mean it tripped the breaker/GFIC or do you have a controller? I can't see a pump (no matter what it did) taking out two electronic ballasts. They are pretty sturdy IME. Have you tried them on a different outlet in your house?

The pump was on a surge protector it blew causing smoke and melting plastic smell. My ballasts no longer sound as if they kick on with the slight hum. I have posted in the Ice Cap forum rewired and tested the ballasts on different bulbs, outlets, and moguls all with failed results. Guess i will just need to send them in for repair/replacement.
