Ballast Orientation Question Help Please

I purchased a Used Coralvue MH E-Ballast 250 watt 3.5 Amp.this unit is silver and has Raised fins opposite the footings.Which way to mount.

Fins up footing down or vertical?

I think the fins are for extra surface area for cooling down and you want to have them where air can access them. I would assume the footings are where it should mount.

What,

I know what fins are for,.......Some of my ballast say mount verticle some you lay down .....which way for coralvue is what I need.I don't have other coarlvues or a manual and nothing at the site except refer to manual.
