ballast questions

I am trying to bring new life to an old Deep Blue Professional T5 light fixture. The built in timer on it has died and is keeping the whole thing from working. What i am wondering is if I can bypass the built in timer and circut board and wire the ballasts individually to their own plugs.

It'd be the plug on the left, where they have it labeled, that you'd want to run a 3-prong cord to. You want to be careful though. It's not too difficult, but you have to be sure you wire it correctly and securely. A mistake with line voltage has the potential to be a big one.
