why are these guys getting so pricey? that one was over 500, thats crazy! Am i wrong for thinking this?

Easy to care, not so prone to escape. May take few days to adapt and eat (mine took almost a month to eat)

That is a very nice set up. Im sure he will love it.
See if you can take a video of him or some photo with your phone before you put him in the tank. I always take mines out for photo shooting, a white background help the best.
It is worth every cents you paid for him and more. I will never sell my bananas even if I go homeless i take them with me. lol
The Most exotic eel in the world in my opinion even better than Dragon moray.
If I didnt have two bananas, I would have bought this one as well. Keep us up to date please. congratulation again

These is my second favorite eel. I knew the one on DD would not last more than a day. Picture below is of my Banana Eel. Had been looking for one like this for over a year or so; it took him over 3 weeks before he started eating. They are very shy eels (mine comes out during feeding time). He's currently housed with my Japanese Eel (my favorite of all eels

I am hopping I can breed my two bananas since I heard they can switch gender.
They successfully breeded wolf eels at some zoo, its on YouTube.
You never know. You can see pictures and videos of my eels on this forum.

I am super tired, been a long week at work. Good thing, I work 4 days a week, and Friday is my day off.
I am a little concern with the two fishes i have in the tank.
A very thick 4" Blue Velvet Damsel and about 4" Saddle back.
Also have like 9 peppermints shrimp in the tank, which i don't care about them too much, just worry about the fish.
Hope my new buddy is not a murderer type eel, lol.

Forgot to mention if everything goes well, I will setup my HD live feed camera, so you can see him on a live feed.
Give me a few days to set this up. Also I am also controller freak.
This tank has been controlled by Profilux controller for over 5 months, yes I waited this long for the tank stabilize for my Eel tank.

It took one of my bananas 5 months to eat, very hardy animal.
One thing I noticed is that, if u feed him red krill more often, they appear brighter
And more golden color pops up. I had two adult clown fish in my tank and he ate them.
It's always a good idea to go to post office and pick him up.
You can call them early morning and tell them to hold it for u.

I get it from China town or any Asian super market. I'm sure they put heat pack in the box so there shouldn't be any issue.
