Bandit angel

So I'm new to this site but not new to the saltwater community. There is a new lfs that has a few great fish I'm dying to have to have one is a bandit angel that is 3 inches and a great looking fish but I'm worried that my 55 gal will be too constraining for him. I'm going to be setting up a 120 gallon in a year or two (when ever I can talk the boss my wife into it) the other fish they have that are driving me nuts are a tiny joculator angel that might be the sickest fish I've ever seen and a candy basslet. I've always bought my live stock from live aquaria but these are in town and cheaper. So my main question is will the little bandit do ok in a 55 for a few years?

Thanks,
BEM

Should be fine in short term but I hope you know they do better in lower temp tank like low 70's.

IMO, it would be in your best interest to wait until you have the larger tank. No guarantees that upgrade will ever happen on schedule or happen at all.

55 is too small for the bandit but not the joc...esp ythe tiny lil jocs that are currently avail...

huma, the juvie jocs were SSOOOO tempting for me on DD last week! My LFS will be getting me a couple after I have an angel breeding set up going. :D

dd still has one...and nya has a tiny .75 incher...what a great size...:celeb1:

I saw the one in the dd and as I said I've bought everything but my rock from them but the lfs said the same thing cocos keeling joc. So should I save the money and buy from the lfs they don't have a website but the store is on FB it's called the inland reef. The fish they have looked like a twin to the one in the dd

The lfs is a good bit cheaper than the dd that's what's got me pondering the bandit is a steal and the joc is a hundred cheaper

I have the one from dd...she is doing great and has paired up nicely with my other one...

Your 55 is too small for a Bandit...go with a tiny Joc...they are great and very hardy fish...hard to find so small- grab one now..

My Lfs brought in a 3" bandit last week, it was sold before it even left the bag it was shipped in. I believe it went for 900.

It looks like bandit prices are getting higher .Why do you think this is happening ?

A deepwater fish with a very small range. They're also not that common with in their range. Maybe it's me, but they seem to becoming more popular which their limited numbers might be driving up their price.

might just be me but the pricing is in the same ball park it has been and there seems to be the same numbers avail...
