Bang for your buck Return Pump

Mag Drives. Either save a few bucks now and get something that will fail or just buy the best now and don't worry about it for the next 10 years.

To the OP, not sure how much flow you are looking for, but maybe look at the Sicce 5.0, which is rated at 1,321 gph. Can be used externally (I do) and is extremely quiet.

I am using this exact pump on my mixing station. While I love the flow on it I hate the pump being run external. I have my apex setup to run it for 10 mins every hour. However I cant put it on auto as for it leaks. As long as it is running it will not leak but as soon as it stops running it will start leaking slowly. So as of right now I leave it running all the time which is a waste.

I have tried everything to get it to stop leaking. Do you mind sending me a pic of how you have it plumbed external maybe I need to make a change.

A used Iwaki 30 if you can find one with very little rust on the outside it is probably not used very much. Mine is the Jap. pressure model more than enough on my 120.

Pan World and Eheim pumps. The only two pumps that I have had over the last years that you can literally set and forget

Nothing special really. I'm using it as a CL pump. It's hard to see where it's located but here's a couple shots. I simply used a male to slip converter off the pump and plumbed from there. The only odd thing for me was the intake...the angle was such that I ended up having to use a piece of flex pipe the last 1.5' feet or so to the intake. Chalk it up to a first time plumb job!

It's been a year, it's turned off everyday during the evening feeding, and hopefully without jinxing myself, I can say it's never leaked.

If you need an external pump, Eheim or Iwaki would be my choice. I've been Jebao now for 18 months with no issues what so ever. Like KingTriton1, I too had a loud Sicce, the reason I switched to Jebao.
