Currently, I have 2 bangaiis in my 800 litre tank and they successfully bred the first the which was a few weeks ago, and now their at it again:fish1::bounce3:
I WILL NOW TELL YOU MY SECRET, AFTER THE BABIES HATCH NET THEM INTO THE REFUGIUM BECAUSE AMONG ALL THAT GREENERY IS THE PERFECT FOOD FO THEM. I have one in the display but that has not grown so fast as the ones in the refugium, these fish have tripled in size

Are you saying that you have fry that are a few weeks old that have survived in your fuge without any additional specialized feeding? This would be quite a breakthrough indeed.

Sushiman, the rumor is that there is a virus that many of these little guys bring in with them that will kill them in a few weeks to sometimes months. It seems to be the wild caught ones more than the captive ones but not always. You get them, they seem good and then slowly die off on you. It may not be you!
I have been trying for a few years now at my school project and have developed a distain for the black and white buggers. I lower the lights, play romantic music and still nothing!
So what is the secret?

People never realized they could breed Bangaii's sucessfully until they started finding healthy growing baby Bangaii's growing in sumps and overflow boxes. Wild stuff :D

Wild caught is definitely a problem these days. IMO it has a lot to do with shipping and handling along the line from collection to the LFS. Back when they retailed for $50 or more per fish, they were bullet proof. When the price dropped to around $4 per fish wholesale price, they started becoming difficult to keep alive.
