aparantly these are on the verge of being added to the endangerd list.
they are live bearers and easier to breed than clowns etc.
was considering doing my bit for conservation of these and to help stocks increase,my local sea life centre said they would take them so i might have a go and if succesfull move on to the next challenge.
what say you.

Getting a male/female pair is the first stumbling block.

Once you get past that, do some reading here on RC. You'll find that Banggaii Cardinalfish are not difficult to breed/raise. Just be prepared with plenty of brine shrimp eggs!

BTW, all three LFS in my area eagerly take the baby Banggai for re-sale.

Something must be up with them, my LFS had them for $27.99 today, I like 'em, but they aren't THAT pretty. If the price stays like that, I will probably rasie some just for a cash crop :D

Steve (SPK) has a few good threads going here about his first attempts. He has been very successful, I think he just got 5 of them, and let nature take it's course. Not sure how long it took, but I bet it's in his threads. I say go for it, every little bit helps!

there is an outfit online that sells mated and breeding pairs. they are a bit expensive, but fully CB, eating frozen. Well worth it if you ask me. there was a lot of trouble with the WC having parasites and dieing easily. I killed 6 of them before I gave up on it.
