Bangaii Cardinals

I have read that the cardinals unlike ohter fish have an air bladder that helps them float in the water without using much effort. While holding a given position. Is this true? If so I have a Bangaii Cardinal that seems bloated and has a hard time keeping upright.

first - welcome to reefcentral! =)

almost all fish have air/swim bladders... this prevents them from sinking and maintains their neutral boyancy. some fish have lungs, some fish have no bladder.

if there's a different bladder in bangaiis, it's news to me... but I don't see why thye would have something other fish don't as they don't have "that" unique of natural environments to justify one.
