It looked like for the last few weeks one of the Cardinals (I assume the male) had a mouthful of eggs. He also wasn't eating.
This morning it looked like his mouth is empty and he's eating.
I can't find any babies in the tank. The only other fish is a hi-fin goby that stays in the burrow with a pistol shrimp. There's also a pair of Golden Coral Banded Shrimp.
Seems like the babies were eaten? Is this common? Any way to avoid this?
