Bangers Breeding

Well I purchased 2 pairs of Cardinals for my 180 gallon cube in December and last night one of the males was holding eggs. Have a 10 gallon setup if the male decideds to hold the eggs full term and will place a fake urchin in the display for the babies. Will try to update with some pictures as things progress.

Any advice?

When you say you purchased pairs, how exactly did you do that (I didn't think you could tell the sex of the banghai with any certainty). Would love to know

That was an error on my part.

I purchased 4 fish and seem to have gotten two pairs as the others were doing the shaking dance yesterday. I exactly did that by sheer dumb luck.

I beleive today is day three of the incubation and the male is still holding. If he hold to full term there should be some babie swimming around on the 12th of April.

I started with 7 and got 2 pairs.....I thought I was lucky. You should have played the lottery that day.

Wish I had...The male swallowed the eggs on or around day 10. I have been waiting for another batch and have seen them doing the swimming in front of one another courting but I have not observed any more eggs. Basically a hurry up and wait at this point.

Sorry not quite into the technical phrasing of things yet. Only been on the breeders wagon a couple months just trying not to fall off so to speak.
