Banggai and Threadfins, will they fight?

I believe the only way to do multiple Bangaii's is to have a m/f pair. No trios.

As far as them in with the Threadfins, I would think that would have a lot to do with tank size. I have no experience with that.

they will ignore each other, however as mentioned if you add 3 banggais you will be left with one or 2 scattered in the rocks and one out
 
unfortunately banggais are gonochoristic=meaning they are born of predetermined orientation- and do NOT switch.
So frequently pairing them up requires a good eye and luck
 
banggai cardinal fish are mouth brooders which meens that the male cardinal raises the young in his mouth. I would look for variations in the mouth structure.
 
If they are full grown mouth should be bigger on male.. other than that its heads or tails call.. they are almost identical
