I don't know what this is, or even if anything is wrong. I have one banggai cardinal in my main display tank. I DO have a QT if I need it. The problem is that the fish is fat, and seems to get fatter, so big now that his bodys scales are starting to push up. It almost looks like something is inflating him. I thought it may be eggs, but I have another pair of spawning cardinals that never get this big. There is no problem with swimming, so I don't suspect swim bladder. Directly by the gills there have been growths, irregular growths, and now the fish seems to be swelling. It could just be well fed, but I don't see him eat any MORE than the rest, so it's tough to believe that he's just being a piggy. All other fish and corals are fine.
does this sound like anything? Should I be freaking out?
