Banggai cardinalfish

I bought 2 banggai cardinals. One died in qt. Put the remaining one in my 265. Bought 2 more in qt one would be out while other hide all day but both made it threw qt. Put those 2 in my 265 with the other one. One swims with the old one while other mostly hangs out in the top corner of the tank. Is it safe to assume the 2 swimming together paired off. Ps I haven't seen any of them chasing the one hiding and all 3 eat when I feed them
