I received that message twice in five minutes. Think they could have put a little more effort into this? I don't even do any of my banking there.

It's just such a cheesy scam.

I mean, way to go strategically highlighting important words fellas... almost had me!

I understand that everyone and their sister has a scam of some sort whether they want to admit it or not, and that people need money now more than ever, but come on! America is supposed to be the home of great ideas and invention.

Two Card Monty is more difficult to decipher than this...

but just imagine all the not so smart people that fall for it.... i bet they make more money than they spend on texts and i imagine thats the idea.

You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time...

Guess it's just a matter of time.

V, since your awesome... Why don't you call that number, posing as Angler, and ask to start up a new account with a ridiculously high credit limit (like 3.5 million) ensuring them all the while that you have no intention of paying back the money and see if they still ask for your information. Let them know that you wont give them any of your personal information until they approve you over the phone. :D

My wife got that exact same message last night. I was thinking of setting the fax machine at work to call that number. It will redial until it is successful or it is canceled.

Thats a good idea. Can you send them a big but fax?

I haven't tried calling the number yet, but I wonder if it will be automated...

reverse lookup shows the address on Edward Drive in Eureka. You could call the Eureka Police and give them the text and the phone number and I'm sure they would have a talk with the folks.
