Beware that if your nutrients are really low, your corals could suffer if you remove too many particles from the water. Some corals are able to feed on small particles in the water. Remove those particles and they won't have anything to eat in an ultra low nutrient system. I don't know how cloudy your tank is, but remember that wild reefs have tons of particles floating around. Just my $0.02.
