Bare bottoms

I think it's hit or miss just like with sandbeds. Some tanks look good bb and some look like sterile rockpiles. It's in the eye of the beholder though and people should do what appeals to them most.

On the other hand before I jump onto the bb bandwagon, I would like to see bb tanks that look just as good as tanks here on reefcentral that have been running for years with sandbeds.

The bb vs sandbed argument IMO is null and void because right now you can find tons of sandbed tanks that look far better than anything we've seen running a bb. I want visual proof that running a bb creates a better tank, more colorful colors and healthier fish.

Aubee,
Check out my gallery. There's some pics in there of the tank with the Faux Bottom after 6 months and one on the second page right after it cured.
There's a great thread on Faux sand bottoms somewhere on RC but as usual the search function is not working. Anyone have the Link?

Jay

Thanks, Jay. I'll dig for that thread.

I love perfect, clean shallow sb's, but starboard is just too easy too maintain and that is more important to me.
