Thank you for your inquiry. The Barred Knifefish requires an aquarium temperature between 73 - 80° F. Unfortunately, a 60 degree aquarium would be too cold for this fish. Please contact us with any other questions or concerns.

It would appear that you are referring to Oplegnathus fasciatus which is listed in the Diver's Den®. These very adaptable Japanese fish do in fact prefer cooler water temperatures in the high sixties to low seventies; however sixty degrees Fahrenheit may be a bit too cold for these fish.
To eliminate confusion I have changed their common name to the more widely recognized Knifejaw.
