Is there any store that sells dry base rock? Not lace rock actual dead live rock, If so how much is it.
I supose if they have live base rock cheap enough that would work too.
Or does anyone have any laying around, Im not looking for alot maybe 20 lbs.
Just Pets has some rock similar to base rock but very crumbly, it doesn't seem to be as strong as base rock but very porus, poures.(ugh lots of holes in it) Also they have to be somewhat small pieces they are going in a 30g so the base is only 12" x 30" and I wanted a little room around the structure.
Thankx Bri Guy

Ph, drop a pm to kjkoss - I think he had some. At least he did some time ago.

I also put in a call to Chris Lemm - he got the better part of what you saw in my basement. I'd give you mine, but I'm holding on to some at least. (need some bio balls?)

Did your tank silicone up nice? let me know if you have any trouble there... it you do, we may have to silicone that reinforcment plate to a new tank and when dry, re-drill.

Jm No havent siliconed it yet im wating on all my projects and have a night of just siliconing, but ill let you know if i need another hole drilled, unless your getting sick of drilling holes lol, ya right.

Any one use toufa sp. rock b4? I picked up a couple sm. rocks to try them out they seem pretty crumbly, maybe ill just use them in a bubble trap tower any objections?

Also is that white vinagar they use to test sand to see if it is calcified? can i use this test on all the rock i try, cause I got some lace rock i was thinkin of puttin in for some of the base rock.

Podheadx,
How about making some yourself?
I have made alot of Agracrete rock myself and it is pretty easy and cheap to do.
That way you get the exact size and shape you want.
Just a thought
