just wondering if your base rock is "live" rock. im getting ready to set up a tank with some "dead" rock i bought from you guys a few years ago thats been out of my tank for 6 months. i need to reseed it and get it going. i figured the base rock was cheaper and i can keep it in my sump/fuge.

also im just south of you in evansville and wondered if i can get regular shipping on the rock so i dont have to pay overnight charges and all the other charges that come with the shipping- it will probably be a month or so when i need it. hopefully the weather will be perfect by then-

thanks matt

Hi Matt, our base rock is indeed "live" rock in a bacteria sense. It's not going to have much in the way of hitchhikers, coloration, etc. Generally the base rock doesn't have that great of shape to it either unfortunately.

Regular shipping on all of our products would be 1 day to you, including livestock packages.

i dont really care what size it is-- i need something to reseed and preferably get some worms and copepods going again- would the rubble rock be a better option to get both bacteria and good hitchhikers?

Do the rubble rock. I got lots of worms and pods on mine that i ordered a couple of weeks ago, and some of it had some nice colors. I'm going to be ordering some more pretty soon.

I pretty much cleared out their base rock pool a few months ago when they were selling it at $0.50/pound. I bought 200lbs of it and added 60lbs of the premium fiji rock. I'm very happy with my purchase and every nook and crevice is full of life. Good luck!
