Base rock

Like to throw this up for thoughts. I just received 60 lbs of base rock that comes from an online company. But before I add this to my display tank I'd like to hear if anyone has used this type of rock before. Here is the link to the site.

This will be added to approx. 150 lbs of Marshall island rock that has been in my 150 for almost a year now. I want to put it under the existing rock to help add to the aquascape.

It looks alot like Marshall Island rock from the pics on their website. I am not familiar with them so I can't comment on it but it looks very good!! How many pieces did you receive with the 60lb order?

How big was your biggest piece?

Dan, I recieved 13 pieces the largest is appox. 12 inches down to about the size of a baseball. Couldn't pass up a photo op. Here's a pic of the rock order.

The wife got me thinking to make sure its safe to add it to the tank. I'm soaking it in ro-di water and then I'll let it soak in salt make up water before adding it. Maybe over kill but never used dry base rock before.

see what the rock does to the ph of your ro water after a few hours. put a powerhead in if you have an extra.
