I have some extra base rock from a project I will be doing. It is the Miami base rock that aquaculture places in Florida are using now since tha Bahama rock was no longer available. $1 per pound if you need any just email me at slpcomputer@yahoo.com

I will get some pics as soon as I can find my digital camera. My 2 year old must have hid it while I was on my trip.

here are a couple of pics. Some are very porous and others are not as porous.

you can't tell really well from that picture there people, but several of the large chunks I got last night have all sorts of fossil's clearly visible, old remenents of corals, shells, barnacles, ect. ect. I've got some pretty decent porous pieces and some smaller awesome shapes to work with now. And the rubble rock is about as perfect as you can get for frags! If you havn't called him yet DO IT, :D This stuff is actually better looking than the last batch of base rock I bought (ReefRock by Caribsea) and cheaper too! I can't wait to get home and play "home makeover" with my tank, lol.

This rock is a SWEET deal! I met Steven and his wife and they are a couple of great people.

I dug around and found me a couple of nice, large pieces. The pics do it no justice. If your needing to get some good base rock this is for you. All you need is a little live rock ro sand to seed it!

Thanks again Steven,
Kyle

Steve, You sure did get some great rock. In no time that rock will turn into regular live rock. It looks just like the stuff that is seeded in the Florida live rock leases.

It was nice of you go get more than you needed so the rest of us would have that access to Florida reef base rock.

Fellow Reefers, Steve has some really large pieces that would be great in a large tank as a centerpiece. He also has a lot of 1" - 2" pieces that make great frag rock. Once you start a frag on this stuff it will not be hard to place it in your tank and have it look natural rather than seeing round discs under your corals.

Get in on this deal while it lasts.

Just p/u a few lbs of Rock from Steve. He had a few tons left if anyone needs a few. Some giant show pieces up for grabs. I got a few fantastic pieces. Thanks steve for allowing me to dig around and the burger too!!!

Bump!

We just picked up some of this base rock from Steven, and it was very impressive. He has some as small as frag rocks and some twice as big as basketballs! He still had quite a bit left if anyone is interested. We got some great pieces. I'm so glad we did it. It was a great deal!

Just a note, I picked up some of this and some of the rubble.

If you need some or think you will need some live rock in the future, give it a look.

I agree! It's some good stuff! Time me for me to start cleaning and seeding it!

Thanks Steven!
