Basement sumps and ACJR

I am setting up a 180gal. tank and I want to have the sump in the basement. I was planning on controlling it with an ACJR, but I don't know how I will be able to connect everything to it, being as the Light, fans, heaters, calcium reactor, and powerheads will be split between 2 floors. I don't really want to cut too many holes in the floor...

you can get a DC4 or DC4HD with an additional 4 outlets. These can be located either up or downstairs as the electrical needs require. They are connected in series with a phone cable (the only hole, probably will squeeze along plumbing) and the power plugs into an existing outlet on either floor. The max you can control with a jr is 12 outlets, so you'll be covered. The only downside? another $120 for the DC4...

I happen to have a 180G with an ACjr and a basement sump. I have the control unit and a DC4 in the tanks stand, and a DC8 in the basement. Works out great.

I run a basement stuff, with most of the controlled stuff upstairs. I control 2 dosing pumps in the cellar with an extension cord. I run the heaters with a relay I made. My sump room is over 23' away, otherwise I would have just added on a DC4.

Only people in New England get the special cellar option with the ACjr.

I would think that as long as the upstairs outlet, near the tank, are on the same phase (in your breaker box) as the AC Jr's powerline interface module you shouldn't have a problem installing AM466 power modules upstairs and controlling them from the Neptune controller downstairs.

If the upstairs outlets are not on the same phase you can install a "signal bridge" module in your breaker box. This will allow you to control any power module no matter what phase the outlet is on.

BTW: I paid $20 for my signal bridge and $7.00 each for my AM466 power modules on ebay.

I have my lights upstairs and my pumps downstairs and can control them from my AC Jr. downstairs in the basement.

Ahhh maybe thats my problem with my Aqaucontroller II. The X10s work on some outlets, but not others. I'll have to look into a signal bridge.
