Basic Breeding Set-Up

I read somewhere that someone breeds Os using the basic 10gal aquarium setups from like Walmart with a heater and a Aqua-Tech filter. Is that normal? is it difficult? Have any of you tried that?

I havnt tried that. But as long as they are old enough, that should work. I would try to use a seasoned sponge filter intil they are old enough to go in with a HOB Filter. I would wrap a piece of foam around the filter intake. If it were me I would go with a flow adjusting filter. Like the aquaclear. That way you can put it in with them on low flow and increase it as they growout.
