Basket Starfish

They are reef safe but need VERY SPECIALIZED CARE.

PLEASE do not purchase one. They grow HUGE, are nocturnal, and require dedicated after hours feeding to really succeed. You will not see them during the day, or at least, they will be a little ball of arms.

This is an animal that few should keep, and few have success with. They are very large, long lived and have very special needs. Most people grow weary of providing for them, if they ever knew what to give them in the first place.

They are absolutely positively not like keeping other brittlestars.

Don't buy one. They are virtually impossible to keep. I tried one about 5 years ago in a 120 and it died in less than 2 weeks.
